Reconciliation Dance Studio’s primary strength is providing quality and proper technique to students while emphasizing a Christian viewpoint. The main Scripture passage from which the studio was founded is 2 Corinthians 5:11-21: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come. All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ…We are therefore Christ's ambassadors…God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” God has given each of us special gifts and talents, and part of the responsibility that comes with those gifts and talents is using them appropriately. Reconciliation Dance Studio (RDS) gives those who have been given the gift of dance a place to develop their dancing skills in a way that glorifies God instead of ourselves.

Goals and Objectives

Reconciliation Dance Studioís major goal is to create an awareness of dance ministry while emphasizing the significance of using dance to glorify God. Reconciliation Dance Studioís primary objectives are:

• To provide students with quality and proper dance training,
• To teach students the importance of using the gift of dance for Godís glory,
• To inform students of the Biblical references of dance and the history of dance as it relates to Christianity and the church,
• To expose students to various forms of dance ministry,
• To provide students an opportunity to minister to others through dance as they perform,
• To create an encouraging atmosphere where students can grow and develop their dance technique while receiving constructive corrections.
